The first question you are about to witness is an identity question. In identities algebraic expressions are manipulated in legitimate ways like multiplying by 1 or different forms of ones or using trigonometric identities without changing the value of the expression. We manipulate or how Mr.K calls it Algebraically Massage the expressions so we can prove that an algebraic expression is equal to the other one. There are tons of trigonometric identities and they are all derived from the basic identity sin²x + cos²x = 1. Feel free to pause or rewind the video to read the descriptions if necessary.
